I’m working on an inventory management system that focuses on streamlining product tracking, managing orders, and handling stock levels for my business. The goal is to have everything centralized in one place for easier access and management. Here’s an overview of the key features: Product Tracking: The system tracks product details such as quantity and cost. Each product is assigned a unique QR code that is automatically generated by the system. These QR codes can be scanned with barcode scanners for efficient inventory management, and the system ensures that the QR codes are updated automatically whenever there’s a change in the inventory. Stock Alerts: Notifications will be triggered when stock levels are low, ensuring timely reordering and preventing stockouts. Order Management: The system will allow me to track customer orders, including payment status, shipping information, and order history. Reporting: It will generate reports on sales trends, inventory levels, and other performance metrics to help with decision making. Supplier Management: I can store and manage supplier information, including contact details and order history for easier restocking. User Management: Admin Capabilities: Admins can monitor logins, manage inventory, and assign user roles (Admin/User). Permissions: Admins have the ability to set permissions for users, including the ability to create, edit, or remove items from the inventory. User Access: Both admins and users will have individual email addresses and passwords to access the system. Database Structure: All inventory data, including QR codes, quantities, costs, and access logs, will be stored in the database. The system ensures that QR codes are auto generated and updated as products are added or modified. Dashboard and Graphical Insights: The system will include a dashboard that presents inventory data in graphical formats (e.g., bar charts, pie charts) for easier tracking and visualization of trends, stock levels, and sales performance. Scalability: The system will be designed to handle multiple users accessing the platform simultaneously without any performance issues.
